Railroaded - 1947 crime thriller with Hugh Beaumont as a detective seeking out a cop killer.Directed by Anthony Mann this movie has an excellent villian in John Ireland's Duke Martin( a cold-blooded killer who is a jerk) and moves along fine -except for the romance between Beaumont's character and Sheila Ryan that feels shoehorned in.I got this in a Kino collection of noir- this flick had elements of noir- but was more on the police procedural side of things.Well paced and with just enough twists to keep the viewer interested from the opening hold-up on.The DVD's sound was subpar.
