The Silent Partner - Excellent twists and turns suspense thriller from 1978.Elliot Gould is a nebbish bank-teller who collects fish and is the safe date for his boss.Things turn when he catches wind of a potential bank robbery. You can tell screenwriter Curtis Hanson loves film noir- this movie has all the elements- femme fatale, decent fellow making bad decisions and a great bad guy (Christopher Plummer is superb as the Santa robber).Looking for a good heist flick with plenty of suspense rent or own this small classic set in Toronto. No extras on the disc-look for John Candy in a small supporting role.
